Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Oren Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Teddy Bass!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bass on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hunter. Hunter obviously looking to wear him down.
Bass with a poor takedown
and Hunter counters with a series of strikes. Bass will be more careful next time no doubt.
Bass doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hunter counters with a shoot takedown. Bass fights it but they end up in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Bass swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Oren Hunter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Teddy Bass.
Bass takes a head kick and keeps coming.
A left and a right from Hunter both land. Nice combination.
Bass takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Bass stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hunter.
That kick from Hunter tenderised Bass's leg. Bass is trying to keep his angry face on.
Hunter moves into the clinch.
Hunter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hunter thumps Bass with a low kick.
Hunter throws a big shot that misses.
Hunter cracks the inside of Bass's front leg.
Hunter connects with an inside leg kick.
Hunter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hunter lands in his opponent's guard.
Bass is breathing heavily.

Hunter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hunter drops back looking for a leg! Bass is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bass manages to kick Hunter off! Hunter jumps back into Bass's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hunter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hunter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Hunter is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Hunter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bass keeps working.

Hunter is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bass knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Bass escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hunter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hunter tries to bum rush Bass with a series of wild strikes but Bass uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hunter lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Bass or not.
Bass's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Hunter lands a shoulder strike.
Hunter softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Hunter is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bass is defending well for now.
Hunter lands with a light punch inside.
Bass jumps guard but Hunter stands there with Bass around his waist. Bass gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bass is looking to break free of the clinch but Hunter has double underhooks.
Bass doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Bass's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hunter creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Hunter lands a shot to the body.
Hunter works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Hunter lands a shoulder strike.
Hunter misses with a hook from the clinch.
Hunter ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hunter no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Hunter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Well Hunter has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
