Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Terrance Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Groove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves comes to the cage accompanied by Gangsta Nation- Ice Cube. Ben Groove has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Terrance Alves's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Terrance Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Groove!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alves instigates a clinch.
Groove's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Groove gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Alves regains guard.

Alves is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Alves shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Alves is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Groove can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Groove is bucking up trying to escape but Alves cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Groove shoots in for a takedown but Alves shows good takedown defense.
Horrible takedown by Alves or perhaps it was just good defense by Groove which made him look bad.

Alves is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Groove has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Groove!

Alves working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Groove doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Groove manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Alves is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Groove frees his head nicely. Oh but Alves has switched to an armbar! Groove is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
