Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Edmond Dantes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matheus Dutra!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dantes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dutra tries to avoid it but Dantes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dutra to the ground. Dutra escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dantes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dutra's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dutra has Dantes pulled in close to control his posture.
Dutra tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Dutra working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dantes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Dutra is tightening it up a little... Dantes has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Dantes reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Dantes taps out! nice BJJ there by Dutra!
