PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brock Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teukka Korpi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Korpi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Children Of Bodom - In Your Face kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teukka Korpi!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt.
Gracie closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Korpi stuffs the takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.

Gracie scores with a takedown into Korpi's guard.

Korpi kicks Gracie off and gets to his feet.
Gracie walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Gracie has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Korpi finds it's way round the side to connect with Gracie's head.
Gracie shoots in but Korpi avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Korpi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Korpi drops Gracie with a left right combo! Korpi follows him down to the ground into side control.

Korpi decides to stand back up. Korpi steps back and let's Gracie get back to his feet.
Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Korpi scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Korpi lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Gracie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Korpi swivels and escapes.
Crack! A monster head kick from Korpi and Gracie falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Korpi!
