Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Filipovi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zydrunas Zavickas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filipovi comes to the cage accompanied by Engel- Rammstein. Zavickas has chosen Mötley Crüe: Girl's Girl's Girl's as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Zavickas has his takedown stuffed
and Filipovi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Filipovi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Filipovi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Zydrunas Zavickas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zavickas keeps the fight on the outside.
Zavickas misses with a wild body shot.
Filipovi closes the distance and clinches.
Zavickas tries to pull guard but Filipovi won't allow it.
Filipovi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Zavickas takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Zavickas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Filipovi moves away.
Filipovi throws a leg kick but Zavickas sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Zavickas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Zavickas moves away from the strike by Filipovi.
Filipovi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zavickas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Zavickas moves out of range of the strikes.
Zavickas with a poor takedown
and Filipovi counters with a low kick, right behind Zavickas 's knee.
Mirko Filipovi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zydrunas Zavickas.
Filipovi looks to land a combination. Zavickas sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Zavickas shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Zavickas showed some decent athleticism there.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Zavickas slips a nice elbow through Filipovi's hands, connecting with Filipovi's forehead.

Filipovi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zavickas on the ground.

Zavickas frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Filipovi is breathing heavily.

A nice elbow there by Zavickas.
It looks like Mirko Filipovi has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zavickas has hold of Filipovi's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Filipovi manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Zavickas working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Filipovi turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Zavickas off and cradles Filipovi's limp body as Zavickas celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Zydrunas Zavickas!
