Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Paulo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Victor Bresciani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bresciani has chosen Soulja Boy - Crank That (rock remix) as his entrance music. Paulo has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paulo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Bresciani counters with a nice uppercut.
Paulo is breathing heavily.
Bresciani misses with a two punch combination.
Bresciani dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Paulo misses with a takedown
and Bresciani counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Bresciani closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Paulo quickly recovers to half guard.

Bresciani stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Pedro Paulo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bresciani bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Bresciani looks to score with a jab to the body but Paulo is just out of range.
Bresciani connects with an inside leg kick.
Bresciani lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Paulo backs up against the cage.

Bresciani throws a right and a left that Paulo avoids nicely.
Bresciani scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Bresciani shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Paulo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Paulo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bresciani's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Carlos Victor Bresciani wasn't active enough on the ground.
