Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shissi Aren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and So Nasty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shissi Aren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, So Nasty!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aren gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Nasty pulls guard successfully.
Nasty wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Nasty throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Aren escapes and throws Nasty's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Nasty is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Aren wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nasty, who protects the arm well.

Nasty postures up in Aren's guard and throws a big left but Aren blocks it.

Nasty has gone for a leg lock! Aren slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nasty's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nasty misses with a double jab
and Aren counters with a left and a right that stings Nasty.

Aren clinches with his opponent.

Aren decides to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nasty postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Aren is looking for a triangle but Nasty pushes his legs off easily.
Nasty trying to move into half guard but instead Aren has managed to sweep!
Aren stopping the sweep attempt from Nasty.
Aren prevents Nasty from getting back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nasty is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Aren avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Nasty doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Aren counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Aren.

Aren turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Aren manages to end up in side control.
Nasty is trying to improve his position.
Aren moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Nasty tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Aren wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Nasty swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Aren is now in Nasty's guard. A big mistake from Nasty there, giving up the dominant position!

Aren postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Nasty looks a forlorn figure.
Aren cracks Nasty with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Shissi Aren overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Nasty takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
