The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suzuki throws a sloppy head kick and Daddy moves out of range easily.
Suzuki dodges the punch combination from Daddy.
Suzuki throws a head kick that misses.
Suzuki throws a head kick that half lands.
Suzuki misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Suzuki pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Daddy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Suzuki tries to kick Daddy off but Daddy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Daddy wants to work for an arm triangle but Suzuki is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Daddy is trying to control the action in half guard but Suzuki is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Suzuki tries for a takedown but Daddy circles away easily

and Daddy counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Suzuki's guard now.

Daddy gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Daddy rushes Suzuki and presses him up against the cage.

Daddy has clasped his hands together around Suzuki's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Suzuki is not content to let Daddy control the position.
Daddy remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Suzuki shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Daddy pinned against the cage. Daddy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Suzuki lands a big head kick that sends Daddy to the canvas! Suzuki follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
