PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kileki Kawike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukas Svoboda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kawike comes to the cage accompanied by Anthrax w/ Public Enemy - Bring the Noise. Lukas Svoboda will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Svoboda counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Svoboda misses with a hook. Kawike ducked under it nicely.

Kawike displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Svoboda throws out the jab.
Svoboda fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kawike manages to avoid it.

Kawike gets caught flat footed, as Svoboda shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kawike tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kawike is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Kawike keeping moving, preventing Svoboda from controlling successfully.

Kawike working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Svoboda doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Svoboda manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Svoboda has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kawike is proving hard to escape from.
Svoboda must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Svoboda is posturing up here but Kawike has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Svoboda tries to roll out but it's too tight and Svoboda has to tap! Slick submission there by Kawike!
