Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dreiko Lao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Venser Soujourner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lao comes to the cage accompanied by Drowning Pool - Let The Bodies Hit The Floor. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Soujourner.
Lao looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Soujourner moves to clinch but Lao breaks away
and Lao counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Soujourner tries for a takedown but Lao circles away easily
and Lao counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Lao counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lao looks to land a combination. Soujourner sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

and Lao counters with a two punch combo.
Dreiko Lao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Venser Soujourner.

and Lao counters with a head kick. That will keep Soujourner thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Soujourner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lao swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lao avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Lao counters with a big head kick but Soujourner shrugs it off.
Lao leaves Soujourner with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Lao counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Soujourner throws the kick towards the body but Lao avoids it.

and Lao counters with a head kick. That will keep Soujourner thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Soujourner takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Lao tries to sprawl but Soujourner drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Soujourner is working for a submission of some sort.
Soujourner passes to side control.

Soujourner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lao is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Soujourner is trying to get an arm triangle but Lao is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lao is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Soujourner advances to full mount.

Soujourner lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Lao hang on?

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lao defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Soujourner.
Lao wants to try and get back to his feet.
Soujourner throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Soujourner has control of Lao's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lao regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Soujourner throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Lao has his hands clasped together but Soujourner breaks the hold and Lao is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Soujourner!
