Renzokuken comes to the cage accompanied by Primus - Laquer Head. Oden has chosen Element Eighty-Pancake Land as his entrance music. Thorfinn Oden has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Renzokuken lands a vicious elbow to the side of Oden's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Renzokuken tries to finish him with strikes but Oden still seems able to defend himself so Renzokuken steps back and lets Oden get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.

Renzokuken pushes off an throws an elbow but Oden leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Oden throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Renzokuken was covering up waiting for the punch and Oden finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Oden stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Renzokuken swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Oden slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
A lull in the action here as Oden stalls from top position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Oden is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Renzokuken is trying to escape and Oden transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Renzokuken is forced to tap! Nice work there by Oden! Very nice indeed!
