The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anubis shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chase is trying to defend but Anubis finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Chase is looking to escape.

Anubis decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Eric Chase seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chase throws a right and a left that Anubis avoids nicely.
Chase lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Anubis circles away quickly and effectively.
Anubis avoids the head kick by Chase.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Anubis.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Anubis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chase seems a little lost for a moment, as Anubis dominates the positioning.

Anubis has an Americana. Chase didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Anubis is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Anubis hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
