Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, John Ketchup!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Brett James!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Ketchup uses good head movement to avoid the hook from James.
James misses with a takedown attempt
and Ketchup counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Crunch! Ketchup slams his shin into James's torso.
Ketchup throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
James throws a combination that misses

and Ketchup counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ketchup trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
James trying to control the position.
James wants to stand but Ketchup is controlling the position.
Ketchup tries to free his leg and advance position but James is retaining full guard.

James is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ketchup is aware though and is defending well.
Ketchup really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
James trying to keep a closed guard but Ketchup is proving a slippery customer.

James keeping moving, preventing Ketchup from controlling successfully.
James looking to control.
James is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Ketchup dives into side control.
James is trying to control Ketchup's posture but Ketchup avoids it.
Ketchup throwing strikes but James manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
James tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ketchup struggling a bit here.
James lands some shots froms side control.
Ketchup wants to control but James postures up.

James decides to stand back up. James steps back and let's Ketchup get back to his feet.

James shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Ketchup tries to lock up and control but James gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
James trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Ketchup is in a horrible position here. James smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Ketchup avoids a series of strikes thrown by James.
Ketchup is breathing heavily.
James looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

James is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ketchup has managed to escape the submission attempt.
James can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ketchup is looking to escape.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
James lands with some strikes.
James unloads with some shots from mount but Ketchup bucks and avoids them well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ketchup takes a swing at James's ribcage but misses.
Sloppy strikes from James. Those never looked like landing.
Ketchup tries to clinch but James is having none of it.
James lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Ketchup pulls out of a head kick attempt.
James fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

and James counters with a shoot takedown. Ketchup fights it but they end up in guard.
Ketchup keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully.
James forces his way into half guard.
Ketchup wants to improve his position but James is controlling well.

James stands up and beckons Ketchup to join him on the feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

James misses with a series of wild punches.

Ketchup closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. James did well to prevent Ketchup getting side control.
Ketchup will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
James wants to control but Ketchup is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ketchup looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
James moves into full guard.
James manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ketchup manages to get himself to full guard.
James content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

James stands and steps away. Ketchup gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
James moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
James fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ketchup looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
James lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Ketchup gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and James counters with a three punch combo that has Ketchup backing up. Ketchup nods at James to acknowledge the strikes.
John Ketchup is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
James throws out a powerful jab.


Ketchup is rocked!
BOOM! James lands a beautiful left hook that drops Ketchup. Ketchup tries to recover but James is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Ketchup lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brett James!
