Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tuomari Stapelstaden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Bauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Bauer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stapelstaden shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bauer pinned against the cage. Bauer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Stapelstaden waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Bauer.

Bauer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Stapelstaden missing with punches from the bottom.
Stapelstaden on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stapelstaden tries to get out of the position.
Stapelstaden works his way to full guard. Good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stapelstaden tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Stapelstaden is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Bauer throws a strike but Stapelstaden rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Stapelstaden decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bauer, up you get!
Stapelstaden throws a series of punches but Bauer avoids them all with ease.
Stapelstaden lands with a nice combination. Bauer backs away looking to recover.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stapelstaden lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bauer backs up against the cage.
Bauer falls off balance throwing a combination

and Stapelstaden counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Stapelstaden.
Stapelstaden lands a hook that snaps the head of Bauer backwards.

Stapelstaden breaks the clinch.
Bauer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stapelstaden tries to avoid it but Bauer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stapelstaden to the ground. Stapelstaden escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Stapelstaden throws a body punch but Bauer moves out of range.
Bauer ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Stapelstaden thows a left - swing and a miss!
Bauer misses with a takedown attempt
and Stapelstaden cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Stapelstaden is looking to clinch.
Stapelstaden throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Stapelstaden throws a combination that misses
and Bauer counters with a stiff right hand.
Stapelstaden scores with a jab to the head.
Jack Bauer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bauer looks gassed!
Stapelstaden throws a hook to the side of Bauer's head but Bauer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Bauer throws a left and a right that both miss
and Stapelstaden counters with a nice leg kick.
Bauer falls off balance throwing a combination
and Stapelstaden counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bauer tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Stapelstaden instigates a clinch.

Stapelstaden breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Stapelstaden lands a glancing blow to the side of Bauer's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bauer takes a jab right on the kisser.

Bauer is rocked!
Stapelstaden tests Bauer's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bauer is still on wobbly legs! Can Stapelstaden finish him?
Stapelstaden misses with a combination
and Bauer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Stapelstaden closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Bauer! Stapelstaden dives in looking to finish! Bauer is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
