The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill is looking to chop away at Ames's legs.
Ames walks into a stiff left hand from Hill.
Ames gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hill counters with a stiff right hand.
Ames with a poor takedown
and Ames takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hill fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ames looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hill throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ames on the side of the head.

Bobby Hill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nathan Ames.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Hill, right into the meat.
Ames looks gassed!
Hill misses with a low kick.

Hill connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ames. Ames circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

A clash of legs there as Ames blocks the low kick.
Hill scoring well with a low kick there.
A good leg kick by Hill.
Hill looks to land a combination but Ames avoids it well.
A slapping leg kick lands for Hill.
Bobby Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ames takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hill lands with an overhand left.
A chopping leg kick lands by Hill.
Ames is trying desperately to land a takedown but Hill is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Ames.
A left lands for Hill.
A jab from Hill finds it's way through Ames's defenses.
Hill scores with the left hand. Ames knows he should have avoided that one.

Hill scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ames in his tracks.
Hill lands a jab to the nose.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hill, as that shot connected.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Hill. Ames shrugs it off though.
Hill feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Amess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Hill scores with a jab.
Hill throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ames's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hill connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ames scrambles back to his feet.
Ames on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Hill bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ames's head backwards.

Ames is rocked!
Hill connects with a nice cross there... Ames is looking wobbly and Hill recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Ames to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Hill jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
