Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wham Thankyoumam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amir Asilum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asilum shoots in but Thankyoumam avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Thankyoumam clobbers Asilum with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Thankyoumam misses with a double jab

and Asilum counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Thankyoumam's guard now.
Asilum trying to control but Thankyoumam is working from the bottom.

Asilum thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Asilum gets to his feet - Thankyoumam follows without any prompting.

No joy there for Thankyoumam, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

It looks like Amir Asilum has been cut.
Thankyoumam wants to stand but Asilum is controlling his posture from full guard.
Asilum is still in real trouble! Can Thankyoumam finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Asilum seems to have recovered his senses.
Asilum tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Asilum is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Thankyoumam throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Asilum.
Thankyoumam swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Asilum counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Asilum closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Asilum lands in his opponent's guard.
Thankyoumam is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Asilum is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Asilum not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Asilum tries to circle away but Thankyoumam has him pinned against the cage.

Thankyoumam throws a sloppy head kick and Asilum moves out of range easily.

Asilum looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Asilum trying to control but Thankyoumam is working from the bottom.
Thankyoumam on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Thankyoumam tries to get out of the position.
Thankyoumam wants to get back to his feet but Asilum is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Asilum is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Thankyoumam knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Asilum decides to stand up, so the ref orders Thankyoumam to his feet.

Thankyoumam feints a jab promting Asilum to slip. Thankyoumam then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Asilum slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Wham Thankyoumam is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Asilum closes this distance looking for a takedown but Thankyoumam circles away.
Asilum gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Thankyoumam.
Wham Thankyoumam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Thankyoumam lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Asilum circles away quickly and effectively.
Thankyoumam lands with a kick to the temple. Asilum shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Asilum closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Asilum is looking to take a break and control but Thankyoumam is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Thankyoumam bucks up and tries to throw Asilum off but instead Asilum has got his back!
