The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elowitz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zinho as he jumps to the side.
Zinho throws a chopping leg kick but Elowitz manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Elowitz shoots for a double leg takedown but Zinho sprawls well. He's pushed Elowitz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Elowitz is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Zinho's half guard.
Zinho is looking for a sweep. Elowitz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Elowitz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zinho is just riding it out for now. Elowitz eventually gives up the hold.
