PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chew Bacca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zak Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bacca might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Its Raining Men. Simmons has chosen Hip Hop as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bacca shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Simmons is trying to defend but Bacca finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bacca lands a nice short elbow.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bacca in particular looking to stall.
Bacca is looking to take a break and control but Simmons is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bacca throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bacca connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Simmons gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bacca.
Bacca changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Simmons tries to avoid it but Bacca manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Simmons to the ground. Simmons escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Chew Bacca is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
