The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myrmidon moves into range and clinches up with Silva.
Myrmidon tries to break free but Silva pushes him back against the cage.

Silva lands a left hand that snaps the head of Myrmidon backwards.

Myrmidon's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Silva thows a big elbow that misses.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Myrmidon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard.
Myrmidon drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!
Myrmidon wants to control but Silva postures up.

Silva decides to stand back up.
Silva gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Silva has Myrmidon pressed against the cage, preventing Myrmidon from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Silva goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Myrmidon is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Silva to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Myrmidon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
