The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado shoots in and drives through. Kai sprawls well.
An inside leg kick lands from Kai.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kai. Machado shrugs it off though.
Machado takes a kick to the side of the head.
Kai scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Nice sprawl there from Kai as Machado shoots in.
Machado fails with a takedown attempt.
Ashida Kai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcelus Machado.

A chopping leg kick lands by Kai.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kai throws a quick inside leg kick.
Nice body punch from Kai.
Machado looks gassed!
The crowd cheers as Kai lands an impressive looking overhand right. Machado doesn't seem phased though.

Kai lands with a kick to the ribs.
Kai dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Machado. That did some damage!
Kai lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Kai feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Machado's calf.

Kai lands a big head kick that sends Machado tumbling to the mat! Kai takes a step backwards and waves Machado back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Machado has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kai.
Machado is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kai is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Machado.
Kai is looking to slow Machado down with leg kicks.
Jab, jab by Kai - just one landing.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Kai! Machado is out on his feet! Kai rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Machado is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Machado is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
