Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vincento Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Lenin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vincento Gonzalez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Victor Lenin!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Ivan Kurochkin and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez shoots in for a double leg but Lenin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lenin catches Gonzalez with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Gonzalez looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lenin!

Lenin tries to control the position but Gonzalez now has his back.
You can see the frustration on Lenin's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Lenin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lenin staying busy and making it hard for Gonzalez to control.
Lenin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gonzalez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gonzalez is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Gonzalez gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Gonzalez gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Gonzalez apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Lenin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Gonzalez misses with a hook

and Lenin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gonzalez!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gonzalez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Gonzalez holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Lenin tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Lenin lands a nice shot to the head.
Lenin wants to control the pace but Gonzalez is squirming around nicely.
Lenin avoids the attempt from Gonzalez to control.
Gonzalez can't escape the position.

Gonzalez wants to hold on but Lenin pushes him away.
Gonzalez is looking to improve his position but Lenin isn't that keen on the idea.
Gonzalez is breathing heavily.
Gonzalez wants to try and get back to his feet.
Gonzalez is wriggling around trying to escape.
Gonzalez flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Gonzalez is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Gonzalez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Gonzalez is squirming around, avoiding Lenin's attempts to control the action.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gonzalez is in all sorts of trouble here.

A close round but Victor Lenin will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Gonzalez dives in and grabs Lenin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lenin pushes down on Gonzalez's head and hops out.
Gonzalez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lenin shoots in looking for a takedown but Gonzalez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lenin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Lenin sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Lenin can't control as he wanted to and Gonzalez manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Lenin is thwarting Gonzalez's attempts to control the position.
Lenin tries to stand and escape but Gonzalez is controlling the position.
Gonzalez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lenin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Lenin prevents Gonzalez from improving his position.

Lenin is trying to control. Gonzalez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Lenin not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Lenin is keen to just control but Gonzalez is a slippery customer.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Victor Lenin was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Lenin fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gonzalez looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Lenin is looking to advance position but Gonzalez won't allow it.
Lenin wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Gonzalez uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Gonzalez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Gonzalez lands a nice shot to the head.
Gonzalez lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Gonzalez scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Lenin?
Lenin is looking to get to half guard.
Gonzalez wants to control the pace but Lenin is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Victor Lenin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Gonzalez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Gonzalez is trying to break the clinch but Lenin is controlling him.

Gonzalez pulls guard.
Lenin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lenin looking to sit in guard and control but Gonzalez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Gonzalez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lenin's guard.
Gonzalez stops Lenin from getting back to his feet.
Gonzalez slips a nice elbow through Lenin's hands, connecting with Lenin's forehead.
Victor Lenin has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lenin tries to roll over but Gonzalez keeps him under control.
Lenin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gonzalez is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Lenin is looking to escape.

Gonzalez decides to stand and escape the position.
Both fighters circling a little - Lenin finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Lenin misses with a takedown attempt

and Gonzalez counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lenin's guard now.

Lenin wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Gonzalez is now in half guard.
Gonzalez prevents Lenin from improving his position.

Gonzalez escapes and gets back to his feet.

Gonzalez shoots in and bounces Lenin off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Still in half guard, Gonzalez seems content to control.
Gonzalez is keen to just control but Lenin is a slippery customer.
Lenin tries to roll over but Gonzalez keeps him under control.
Lenin is looking to get back to is feet but Gonzalez passes into side control.
Gonzalez scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Lenin to see if he's OK.

Gonzalez working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Gonzalez lands a nice forearm strike.
Lenin is looking to reverse the position.
Gonzalez wants to control but Lenin is keeping him busy.
Gonzalez lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Lenin is trying to escape the position but Gonzalez is controlling the position.
Vincento Gonzalez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Victor Lenin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Gonzalez looks up at the clock and then as Lenin takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gonzalez smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

I think Lenin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
