Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Gerrard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Plank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that John Plank was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Plank lands but Gerrard takes it in his stride.
Nice straight punches there by Plank. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Plank.
Gerrard shoots in looking for a takedown. Plank tries to sprawl out of it but Gerrard keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Plank manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gerrard doesn't manage to clinch there - Plank circles away.
Plank stalks Gerrard and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gerrard's face. Gerrard staggers backwards, shaken.
Plank lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gerrard backs up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gerrard connects with a good right hand that stumbles Plank. Plank circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Plank.

Plank lands a big head kick that sends Gerrard tumbling to the mat! Plank takes a step backwards and waves Gerrard back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Gerrard is rocked!

It looks like Ryan Gerrard has been cut.
Gerrard misses with a lunging right hand
and Plank counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Gerrard badly! He tries to strike back but Plank puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Gerrard out cold! Oh man, Gerrard will never hear the end of this one!
