Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kelemi Kakuno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kakuno is pushing down on Castle's leg trying to pass to half guard. Castle is fighting to maintain full guard but Kakuno has managed to sneak the leg through.
Kakuno seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kakuno is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Castle can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kakuno takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Castle wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kakuno has him pressed against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kakuno seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Castle for as long as he can get away with.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kakuno cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Kakuno postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Castle looks a forlorn figure.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kelemi Kakuno dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Castle takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kakuno stalks Castle and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Castle's face. Castle staggers backwards, shaken.

and Kakuno makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Castle takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Kakuno ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kakuno connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Castle's hands.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Castle crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kakuno - the referee stops the clock and Castle gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kakuno. Castle manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The crowd cheers as Kakuno lands an impressive looking overhand right. Castle doesn't seem phased though.

Castle's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

and Kakuno counters with a good, hard body kick but Castle shrugs it off.
Castle takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kakuno scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Max Castle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kakuno lands with a hook. Castle tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Kakuno cracks a nice hook into Castle's ribs.
Kakuno dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Castle sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Kakuno feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kakuno lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Castle down.
Kelemi Kakuno is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Castle tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Kelemi Kakuno showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kakuno has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
