Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeff MaGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chael Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MaGee comes to the cage accompanied by I Just Had Sex (feat. Akon). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sonnen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sonnen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
MaGee misses with a takedown

and Sonnen counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in MaGee's guard now.

MaGee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sonnen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

It looks like Sonnen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Chael Sonnen wasn't active enough on the ground.

Sonnen tries to keep at a distance but MaGee has taken the fight into the clinch.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
MaGee throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sonnen tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and MaGee is able to avoid easily.

Sonnen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. MaGee sprawls well initially but Sonnen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sonnen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

MaGee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sonnen circles away quickly and effectively.
Sonnen dives in and grabs MaGee's left leg, looking for a takedown. MaGee pushes down on Sonnen's head and hops out.

MaGee looks to land a right hand but Sonnen moved out of range.

Sonnen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but MaGee paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

MaGee closes the distance and pushes Sonnen back into the cage.

Sonnen is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. MaGee can't fight it off and eventually Sonnen manages to take the fight to the floor. MaGee looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
MaGee wants to stand and escape but Sonnen is having none of it.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Sonnen is pushing down on MaGee's leg trying to pass to half guard. MaGee is fighting to maintain full guard but Sonnen has managed to sneak the leg through.

Sonnen is nestled in close to MaGee, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sonnen connects with a nice short shot to MaGee's temple.

Let's hope that Sonnen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

MaGee connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Chael Sonnen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Sonnen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
