Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between William Peers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Finleon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, William Peers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Finleon!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Finleon.
Peers looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Finleon trying to control the position but Peers is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Finleon is putting a hurting on Peers here, landing some big shots from side control.
Peers on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Peers is not content to let Finleon control the position.
Peers is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Finleon's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Finleon lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Finleon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Peers is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Finleon pulls his head out easily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Peers moves in looking to clinch but Finleon pushes him off.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Finleon fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Finleon drives through and clinches with Peers against the cage.

Finleon successfully pulls guard.

Finleon looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Finleon wants to sweep here but Peers controlling him for the moment.
Finleon not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Finleon shoots in but no luck this time.
Peers lands a nice looking kick to the body. Finleon takes a step back to recover.

Finleon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Finleon showed some decent athleticism there.
Finleon wants to take a breather but Peers is having none of it.

Finleon bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Finleon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Peers is desperately trying to improve his position but Finleon has a good base and remains in mount.

Finleon closes the distance and clinches up with Peers, looking for a takedown. Finleon pushes Peers against the cage but Peers circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Peers fails in his attempt to clinch.
William Peers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Finleon tries to keep at a distance but Peers has taken the fight into the clinch.

Finleon has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Peers uses from the top position.
Finleon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Peers's guard.

Peers stalks Finleon and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Finleon's face. Finleon staggers backwards, shaken.

and Finleon decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Peers's guard.

Brian Finleon has got the better of the ground game so far.
Finleon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Finleon is looking to take a break and control but Peers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Peers pushes Finleon away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Finleon gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Brian Finleon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Finleon is looking to clinch but Peers is avoiding it.
Peers doesn't manage to clinch there - Finleon circles away.

Finleon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Finleon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Peers manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Finleon manages to get himself to full guard.

Finleon manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Peers pushes Finleon up against the cage in a clinch.

Finleon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Finleon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Peers fails to land with a series of punches.
Peers moves in looking to clinch but Finleon pushes him off.

and Peers counters with a nice double leg into side control. Finleon won't be happy with that.

Finleon tries to get the hooks in deep but Peers pushed the leg off.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Finleon lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Finleon wants to control but Peers is keeping busy.
I really don't envy Peers right now.
Finleon trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Peers doesn't escape.

Despite being in the dominant position, Brian Finleon just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Finleon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Peers with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Finleon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Finleon shoots for a double leg takedown but Peers sprawls well. He's pushed Finleon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Finleon shoots in and bounces Peers off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Finleon wants to control from the top but Peers keeps moving.
Peers has Finleon pulled in close to control his posture.

Finleon looking to sit in guard and control but Peers gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Finleon is trying to keep Peers in close.
Peers with a flurry of punches that miss.
Peers trying to control the position from guard on top but Finleon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Peers pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Finleon is keeping the position for now.
Peers postures up in Finleon's guard and throws a big left but Finleon blocks it.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Brian Finleon.
I've got Finleon winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
