The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
de Souza keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

de Souza fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Silva.
de Souza rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Silva's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

de Souza shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with de Souza. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
de Souza tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
