Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ian Askew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Gardener (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Askew kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Glamour of the Kill-Feeling Alive. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Askew uses his free foot to push down on Gardener's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gardener.

Askew tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Askew fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gardener avoids it really well and circles away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gardener is rocked!
Gardener is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Askew moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
