Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez throws a sloppy body shot
and Santos counters with a straight right hand.
Gonzalez tries to bum rush Santos with a series of wild strikes but Santos uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Gonzalez has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gonzalez is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Gonzalez scores with a nice short uppercut.
Gonzalez lands a left hand that snaps the head of Santos backwards.
Santos has Gonzalez pushed against the cage.

Santos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Santos is looking to clinch but Gonzalez is avoiding it.
Gonzalez digs a good hook to Santos's body.

Gonzalez gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Santos is looking to control Gonzalez's arms but Gonzalez gets an underhook and turns him. Now Santos has his back to the cage.
Gonzalez lands a shoulder strike.

Gonzalez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gonzalez blocks a head kick by Santos.
Santos tries to clinch up

and Gonzalez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gonzalez.
Santos's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Gonzalez is trying to break the clinch but Santos has him pressed against the cage.

Gonzalez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Gonzalez has cracked Santos with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Gonzalez lands another huge swinging hook and Santos tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Santos, before Gonzalez can land any more shots!
