Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mihail Fedorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitriy Kosarev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Mihail Fedorov has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mihail Fedorov!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dmitriy Kosarev!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kosarev gets caught flat footed, as Fedorov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kosarev keeping full guard, as Fedorov tries to pass.
Kosarev working a defensive guard here.
Fedorov looking to sit in guard and control but Kosarev gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Kosarev's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Fedorov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kosarev gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kosarev wants to stand but Fedorov is controlling his posture from full guard.

Kosarev slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Fedorov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kosarev defends well.
Kosarev wants to control from the top but Fedorov keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kosarev got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fedorov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kosarev has managed to get both his arms back between Fedorov's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Fedorov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kosarev gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Fedorov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kosarev controls the pace.

Fedorov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kosarev can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kosarev decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fedorov, up you get!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kosarev checks a leg kick.
Fedorov closes the distance looking to clinch
and Kosarev counters with a stiff right hand.

Kosarev closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Fedorov quickly recovers to half guard.
Fedorov has hold of Kosarev's hands but Kosarev slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Kosarev is controlling the pace.
Kosarev is keen to just control but Fedorov is a slippery customer.
Kosarev keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Kosarev trying to pass the guard but Fedorov defending well.
Fedorov is staying active underneath Kosarev, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Dmitriy Kosarev.

and Kosarev counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Fedorov tries to bum rush Kosarev with a series of wild strikes but Kosarev uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Kosarev shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fedorov napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Kosarev wants to take a breather but Fedorov manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Kosarev.

and Kosarev decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fedorov's guard.

Fedorov stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Kosarev looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kosarev is breathing heavily.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Fedorov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kosarev pulls his head out easily.

Kosarev thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fedorov's head.

Dmitriy Kosarev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
