Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Viktor Savelyevich Onopko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mark Brown!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Onopko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Brown wants to pass the guard but Onopko is keeping the position.
Onopko wants to get back to his feet but Brown is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Onopko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Brown is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Onopko misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Brown.
Brown misses with a takedown attempt
and Onopko counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brown.
Viktor Savelyevich Onopko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Brown.
Brown fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Brown looks gassed!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Onopko throws a nice looking combination but Brown bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mark Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brown shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Onopko manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Onopko holds on and takes a little breather.
Onopko wants to sweep but no luck.

Brown postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Onopko is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brown, into his guard.

Brown is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Onopko has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Brown is proving hard to escape from.

Brown is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Onopko has his hands clasped together but Brown extends an breaks Onopko's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Brown.
