Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Manoel Alonso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matheus Borges (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borges dodges the punch combination from Alonso.
Alonso lands a nice looking kick to the body. Borges takes a step back to recover.

Alonso shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Borges's guard.
Alonso wants to control from the top but Borges keeps moving.
Alonso is looking to stand up but Borges won't let him.

Borges wants to stand but Alonso is controlling the position.

Alonso is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Borges can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
