Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Noel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pizzazz Longez!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noel shoots in looking for a takedown but Longez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Noel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Noel fails with an attempt to clinch.
Longez throws a series of punches but Noel moves out of range.
Noel doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Longez throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Noel counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Noel is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Longez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Noel.
Longez is controlling Noel's trapped leg to prevent Noel from advancing to side control.
Noel is looking for a kimura but Longez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Noel to get the leverage.
Longez is refusing to be controlled, as Noel sits in half guard.
Noel is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Longez!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Longez regains half guard.
Longez preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Noel has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Longez defend it? Noel steps over the head and cranks it - Longez is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Noel!
