The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaplan misses with a double jab
enabling Buddin to counter with a crisp jab.
A slow jab from Kaplan misses its intended target.
Kaplan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Buddin but Buddin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kaplan misses with a double jab
and Kaplan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Kaplan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Buddin tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kaplan is in Buddin's guard.
Buddin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Kaplan passes Buddin's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Kaplan stands up from half guard.

Buddin has Kaplan up against the cage in a clinch.

Kaplan gets control of Buddin's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kaplan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Kaplan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Buddin defends well.

Buddin stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Kaplan throws up his legs and catches Buddin in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Buddin tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Kaplan! That came out of nowhere!
