Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jossie Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Powell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Ladies and Gentlemen-Saliva. Vincent Powell will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Powell throws a right and a left that both miss.
Powell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Powell stands up from Silva's guard - Powell perhaps looking for a knockout.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Powell's guard.

Silva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Silva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Silva lands in his opponent's guard.

Powell had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Silva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Powell Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Silva's back instead.

Silva is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Powell gets his way!

Powell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
