The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whiskey shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Simmons but Simmons pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Simmons throws a right and a left that both miss.
Whiskey misses with a few strikes there.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Simmons prevents a takedown attempt there.
Simmons is looking to break free of the clinch but Whiskey has double underhooks.
Whiskey turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Whiskey manages to end up in side control.
Simmons pushes Whiskey away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Whiskey gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Whiskey throwing strikes but Simmons manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Whiskey closes the distance and clinches up with Simmons, looking for a takedown. Whiskey pushes Simmons against the cage but Simmons circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Oooooh!!! Simmons has knocked Whiskey down with a huge combo! Simmons steps away and waves a wobbly Whiskey back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Simmons looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Simmons lands a left and a right that send Whiskey crashing to the mat, dazed. Simmons thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Simmons ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Simmons lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Simmons scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Whiskey gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Simmons.
Whiskey moves out of range of the leg kick from Simmons.
Simmons looks to land a combination. Whiskey sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Simmons lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Whiskey goes down and covers up as Simmons starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
