Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Rampaasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nigel Burkshire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burkshire has chosen It's a Fight - Three 6 Mafia as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quinton Rampaasi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nigel Burkshire!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rampaasi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burkshire tries to avoid it but Rampaasi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burkshire to the ground. Burkshire escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Burkshire rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rampaasi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nigel Burkshire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rampaasi throws a body punch but Burkshire moves out of range.
Burkshire misses with a series of wild punches.
Rampaasi moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Burkshire tries to sprawl but Rampaasi drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Rampaasi slips a nice elbow through Burkshire's hands, connecting with Burkshire's forehead.
Burkshire moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rampaasi stands and steps away. Burkshire gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Rampaasi blocks the body kick.
Burkshire closes the distance and pushes Rampaasi back into the cage.
Rampaasi is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Burkshire pushes off an throws an elbow but Rampaasi leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Rampaasi wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quinton Rampaasi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rampaasi has clasped his hands together around Burkshire's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Burkshire is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Rampaasi misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Burkshire struggling a bit here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Burkshire gets full guard.
Rampaasi slips nicely into half guard.
Rampaasi thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Burkshire to regain full guard.
Rampaasi throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Burkshire looking for a triangle here. Rampaasi is fighting it but it looks tight! Burkshire pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Rampaasi is tapping out - this one is all over!
