The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rand scores with a push kick.

Zero shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Zero looking to pass the guard.

Zero is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Rand trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zero works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Rand is looking to improve his position.
Zero wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rand keeps working.
Zero uses his free foot to push down on Rand's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Rand.

Zero has control of Rand's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rand regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Zero is breathing heavily.

Rand tries to lock up and control but Zero gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Zero jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rand manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Zero thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Rand is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Zero in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Rand is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
