Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Westfall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Sliva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sliva has chosen Downtime as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sliva tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Westfall counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Westfall shoots in and gets a takedown into Sliva's guard.
Westfall loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Westfall works over Sliva with some ground and pound from guard.

Sliva is rocked!
Westfall forces his way into half guard.
Westfall is taking a breather. Sliva says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Westfall slips a nice elbow through Sliva's hands, connecting with Sliva's forehead.
Sliva is still in real trouble! Can Westfall finish him?

Sliva has hold of Westfall's hands but Westfall slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Westfall is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Sliva is hurt! He's hurt bad - Westfall fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Sliva from any more punishment! Congratulations to Westfall! Great finish!
