Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Kael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Volante De Carro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyson Kael!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Volante De Carro!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kael shoots in for a double leg but De Carro sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kael throws a head kick but De Carro moves out of range.
De Carro is looking to clinch but Kael is avoiding it.
De Carro slaps away a takedown attempt from Kael, before circling back to the center of the mat.
De Carro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kael tries to avoid it but De Carro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kael to the ground. Kael escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kael scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De Carro tries to escape but Kael is in control.

Kael has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
De Carro throws a chopping leg kick but Kael manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Kael ducks down and throws a hook to the body but De Carro moves away.
Kael shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Kael. That's going to take a lot out of him.
De Carro throws the kick towards the body but Kael avoids it.
De Carro pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kael shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says De Carro as he avoids it easily.

Kael drops to a knee looking for a takedown but De Carro gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Kael breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

De Carro doesn't manage to clinch there - Kael circles away.
De Carro tries to clinch up but Kael circles away and keeps his distance.

and Kael counters with a low kick, right behind De Carro 's knee.
Kael looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
De Carro stuffs the takedown.
Kael throws a head kick that misses.
De Carro lands with a hook. Kael tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Danga de danga de dang - Kael scores with a four punch combination!
Kael is breathing heavily.
Kael tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. De Carro manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
De Carro fails with a takedown attempt.
Kael shoots for a takedown but De Carro saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Kael leaves De Carro with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Kael closes the distance and clinches.

Kael jumps into guard, dragging De Carro to the mat.
De Carro won't allow Kael to sweep him here.
Kael is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Kael might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

De Carro got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kael has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, De Carro has managed to get both his arms back between Kael's legs - danger averted.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
De Carro looking to sit in guard and control but Kael gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kael decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Kael lands a head kick. De Carro smiles back at him and beckons him forward.


It looks like Volante De Carro has been cut.
Kael connects with an inside leg kick.
De Carro showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kael.
Kael keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Kael instigates a clinch.

Kael works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
De Carro wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kael manages to pass to side control.

Kael escapes and gets back to his feet.

Kael moves into the clinch successfully.

Kael's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kael stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kael wants it to stay on the feet.
De Carro takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Kael gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from De Carro.

Kael breaks from the clinch.

Kael pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tyson Kael seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kael closes the distance and clinches.
Kael is pressed up against the cage. De Carro has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kael down to the mat. Kael avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kael throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kael closes the distance and pushes De Carro back into the cage.

Kael has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics De Carro uses from the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kael tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
De Carro closes the distance but Kael moves to the side

and Kael counters by clinching up.

Kael manages to pull guard.
Kael manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Kael gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Kael has De Carro pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. De Carro manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

De Carro trying to control the position but instead, Kael has worked for underhooks and has pushed De Carro into the cage.

Kael manages to pull guard.
De Carro wants to control from the top but Kael keeps moving.
Kael bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in De Carro's guard.

De Carro is working an open guard so Kael takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Kael throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around De Carro's waist but De Carro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kael off to one side.
De Carro circles away from the clinch attempt.
De Carro fails with the takedown.
A head kick misses from Kael.
De Carro wants to clinch up but Kael keeps it at a distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kael throws a front kick that sends De Carro stumbling back into the cage.
Kael throws a right and a left that De Carro avoids nicely.

Kael scores with a takedown into De Carro's guard.
De Carro has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Kael has passed into side control.

Kael decides to stand up, so the ref orders De Carro to his feet.
De Carro takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
De Carro takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Kael throws a sloppy head kick and De Carro moves out of range easily.
Tyson Kael is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kael gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kael lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Tyson Kael overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kael stands up and beckons De Carro to join him on the feet.
Kael shoots in for a double leg but De Carro sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and De Carro counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Kael here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

De Carro postures up in Kael's guard and throws a big left but Kael blocks it.
De Carro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kael. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

De Carro is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kael is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kael has escaped and now he's on top!

Kael swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and De Carro counters with a right hand to the body.
Kael pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kael tries a head kick but it misses.
Kael throws a sloppy head kick and De Carro moves out of range easily.
Kael misses with an uppercut
and De Carro counters with a one-two to the body.
Kael throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
De Carro wants to clinch.

Kael has closed the distance and engaged De Carro in a clinch.
De Carro is trying to force a seperation but Kael has the dominant position.
Kael tries for a takedown. No joy.
De Carro looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

De Carro misses with a low kick.
De Carro fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

De Carro falls off balance throwing a combination

and Kael holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The referee calls for Kael to work.
De Carro jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kael walks away with a smile on his face. De Carro gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and De Carro counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kael is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Kael is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that De Carro can do to turn this around?
De Carro takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Kael counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kael.

De Carro shoots for a double leg takedown but Kael sprawls well. He's pushed De Carro's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kael throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Kael is adopting a defensive guard.

Tyson Kael showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kael has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
