Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sammo Hung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil High (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phil High has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sammo Hung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phil High!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
High looks to score with a jab to the body but Hung is just out of range.
A left lands for High.

It looks like Sammo Hung has been cut.
Hung misses with a lunging right hand
and High counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hung will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hung misses with an uppercut.

High rushes Hung and presses him up against the cage.
Hung is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
High pressing his opponent against the cage.
High digs a right hand into Hung's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hung's gas tank.
High misses with a body punch.
Hung tries to break the clinch but High is controlling the position.
Hung tries to pull guard but High won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sammo Hung. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hung can't get the takedown.
High lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hung backwards.
High gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hung.
Hung tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. High smiles and moves away.

High tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hung was well out of range. Poor timing from High.
Hung throws a right hand that misses
and High cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Hung misses with an uppercut.
High throws a series of punches but Hung avoids them all with ease.
Hung gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and High counters by clinching up.
High is pushing Hung up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Hung looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
High cracks Hung with a nice body shot.

High gets underhooks to prevent Hung's takedown attempt.

Hung is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

High's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
A nice left hand lands by High.
High lands a right hand.

Hung looking for a takedown.
High tries a body shot but Hung blocks it.
High throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

High lands with a short shot to the head.
High is working Hung over against the cage.
High lands a body shot.
High lands a right hand.
A body shot lands from High.
High manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
High lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
High throws a punch but it's blocked by Hung.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for High.

High breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
High misses with a two punch combination.
The crowd cheers as High lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hung doesn't seem phased though.

Sammo Hung's cut is getting worse.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hung throws a predictable looking body shot
and High scores with a counter punch that sends Hung to the canvas! High smells blood - he's punishing Hung with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Hung has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
