The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McSmokerson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

so Jackson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

McSmokerson is looking to stand up but Jackson isn't so interested in that idea.

McSmokerson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Jackson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Jackson jumps guard.

Jackson has his foot on McSmokerson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McSmokerson works his way back into a safe position though.

Jackson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! McSmokerson has picked Jackson up and slammed him! Jackson can't keep hold of the triangle and McSmokerson manages to pass to side control!

McSmokerson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Jackson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jackson showed some decent athleticism there.
McSmokerson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Jackson throws a strike but McSmokerson avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Jackson won't allow McSmokerson to get back to his feet.
Jackson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

McSmokerson tries to bum rush Jackson with a series of wild strikes but Jackson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Dre Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
