The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ras throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ras, as that shot connected.
Ras throws a lazy right hand but Marcos Jr sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Marcos Jr. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The strikes coming from Marcos Jr are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Marcos Jr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ras sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Ras manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ras throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Ras is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ras lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Marcos Jr drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ras looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ras looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ras!

Josh Ras showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
