Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thiago de Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwayne Oxylon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think de Souza might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dry County. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thiago de Souza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dwayne Oxylon!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oxylon scores with a hook.
Oxylon thows a body shot but no joy.
Oxylon misses with a right hand
and de Souza counters with a stiff right hand.
Oxylon misses with an uppercut
and de Souza counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Oxylon scores with a one two! de Souza had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Oxylon sizes up de Souza with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Oxylon, as that shot connected.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
de Souza takes a swing at Oxylon's ribcage but misses.
A solid leg kick lands there for Oxylon.
Oxylon cracks de Souza with a right hand to the side of the head.
Oxylon throws a looping overhand right but de Souza ducks down to avoid it.
Oxylon misses with a right hand
and de Souza counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Oxylon!
Oxylon's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
de Souza is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Oxylon has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Oxylon!
de Souza is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Oxylon defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
de Souza has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Oxylon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
de Souza looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
de Souza manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Oxylon manages to get himself to full guard.
Oxylon is looking to stand up but de Souza isn't so interested in that idea.
de Souza in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
de Souza is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

de Souza thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
de Souza sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Oxylon's guard.
Oxylon is trying to stand back up but de Souza is controlling him
de Souza has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
de Souza thowing shots but they're missing.
de Souza is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Oxylon can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
de Souza goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Oxylon is on top in guard.
de Souza working for a triangle but Oxylon defends it easily.
Oxylon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with de Souza. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
de Souza looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Oxylon puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Oxylon is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
de Souza gets back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Oxylon tries to stand but de Souza is controlling from the bottom.
de Souza looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Oxylon has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of de Souza is proving hard to escape from.
de Souza is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
de Souza in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Oxylon tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from de Souza!
