Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mohammad El Sayed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Sayed comes to the cage accompanied by Stand Up by Trapt. Mitchell has chosen DesertStorm/DJClue - Money Power Respect as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Sayed swats away the attempt to clinch by Mitchell.
Jay Mitchell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
El Sayed instigates a clinch.

El Sayed stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and El Sayed wants it to stay on the feet.
El Sayed stalks Mitchell and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mitchell's face. Mitchell staggers backwards, shaken.

Mitchell wants to clinch up but El Sayed keeps it at a distance.

and El Sayed counters with a body kick that stops Mitchell in his tracks momentarily.

El Sayed lands with a thumping leg kick.

Mitchell has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from El Sayed.

El Sayed throws a combination. Mitchell tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Mitchell takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Mitchell scores with a shot to the body.
El Sayed lands a glancing blow to the side of Mitchell's head.
El Sayed lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
El Sayed lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by El Sayed.
Mitchell gets cracked with a nice right hand there by El Sayed.
El Sayed lunges at Mitchell with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mitchell's hand.
El Sayed wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
El Sayed comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
El Sayed is working the combinations to good effect here.
El Sayed misses with a two punch combination.
Mitchell on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by El Sayed. El Sayed obviously looking to wear him down.
El Sayed lands with a nice combination. Mitchell backs away looking to recover.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
El Sayed jabs Mitchell to the body, keeping him at a distance.
El Sayed throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
El Sayed bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mitchell's head backwards.
El Sayed throws a series of strikes that have Mitchell backpedaling.
El Sayed tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mitchell paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mitchell ducks right into an uppercut from El Sayed.
El Sayed lands a head shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nice body kick there by El Sayed.
El Sayed lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
El Sayed tries to bum rush Mitchell with a series of wild strikes but Mitchell uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
No joy there for El Sayed, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A head kick from El Sayed lands but Mitchell takes it in his stride.
El Sayed tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mitchell paws at him with a jab and circles away.
El Sayed is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
El Sayed throws a series of strikes that have Mitchell backpedaling.
Mitchell moves in looking to clinch but El Sayed pushes him off.
El Sayed scores with a head kick.
Mitchell walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
El Sayed shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mitchell eats them both and turns towards El Sayed to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Mitchell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. El Sayed manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
El Sayed scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
El Sayed pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mitchell back to the cage. El Sayed follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Mitchell is on the wrong end of a nice combination from El Sayed.
Mitchell is rocked!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
El Sayed lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by El Sayed.
Mitchell is still on wobbly legs! Can El Sayed finish him?
El Sayed connects with a right that clearly hurt Mitchell. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as El Sayed proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Mitchell collapses and taps out under the pressure!
