Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Hardlock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gracie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Hardlock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gracie is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hardlock to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hardlock shrugs it off.
Hardlock wants to control but Gracie is having none of it.
Hardlock manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hardlock defends it well.
Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gracie content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Gracie's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Gracie seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hardlock for as long as he can get away with.

Gracie has an Americana. Hardlock didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gracie is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gracie hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
