The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunderson thows a body shot but no joy.
Young misses with a looping left.
Young cracks Gunderson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Gunderson misses with a left hand

and Young counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gunderson's guard now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Young stands up over Gunderson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Young stops Gunderson from standing up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gunderson holds on and takes a little breather.
Young trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Young postures up in Gunderson's guard and throws a big left but Gunderson blocks it.
Gunderson pulls Young in to control the position.
Gunderson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Young is controlling him.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Young is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Gunderson throws a hook to the side of Young's head but Young sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Young takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Jason Young has been cut.
Young throws a right hand that Gunderson ducks under and follows up with a left that Gunderson also avoids with ease.

Young shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Young has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gunderson is in all sorts of trouble here.

Gunderson is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Gunderson wants to hold on but Young pushes him away.
Young sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Young lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Young throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Gunderson because Young loaded up on that one.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gunderson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Young lands a big shot there that rocks Gunderson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
