The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cream gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Rivera makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cream seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Cream is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cream is on top in guard.
Cream throws a strike but Rivera rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Cream is looking to stand up but Rivera isn't so interested in that idea.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cream wants to stand up but Rivera is controlling him.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cream can do anything to dispel that myth.
Emman Rivera has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Cream tries to clinch up
and Rivera counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Rivera is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cream is just riding it out for now. Rivera eventually gives up the hold.

Cream tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rivera maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Cream could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Rivera has cracked it and Cream is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Rivera!
