Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Damon Menard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glo Waczi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Menard comes to the cage accompanied by Get Smashed. Glo Waczi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menard misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Waczi.

Menard gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Menard doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A frustrated look appears on Menard's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Menard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Menard tries a head kick but it misses.
Waczi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Menard's waist but Menard gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Waczi off to one side.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Menard misses with an attempted mid kick.
Menard stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Menard wants it to stay on the feet.
Waczi shoots for a double leg takedown but Menard sprawls well. He's pushed Waczi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Menard looks to throw the jab but Waczi is out of range.
Waczi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Waczi counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Waczi.
Menard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Waczi shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Menard throws a half hearted mid kick.
Menard throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Waczi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Waczi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Menard throws a series of punches but Waczi avoids them all with ease.
Menard throws a jab but it's blocked by Waczi.

Menard has taken the fight to the clinch.
Menard is pressed up against the cage. Waczi has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Menard down to the mat. Menard avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Waczi is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Menard to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Menard shrugs it off.
Menard tries to reverse the position but Waczi maintains control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
