Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Syd Scarr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Flame (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Syd Scarr could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jonny Flame's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Syd Scarr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jonny Flame!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flame chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Scarr can pounce on him.
Flame tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Flame feints a jab promting Scarr to slip. Flame then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Scarr slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.


It looks like Syd Scarr has been cut.
Nice body kick there by Scarr.

Flame closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Scarr quickly recovers to half guard.
Scarr controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Scarr pushes Flame off looking to stand but Flame dives back in and keeps control.
Scarr is looking for a sweep. Flame is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Flame winds up and cracks Scarr with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Flame slips a nice elbow through Scarr's hands, connecting with Scarr's forehead.
Flame is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Flame prevents Scarr from improving his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Flame is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jonny Flame.
Flame changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Scarr tries to avoid it but Flame manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Scarr to the ground. Scarr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Flame shoots in and bounces Scarr off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Flame with a flurry of punches that miss.

Scarr lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Flame!
Flame wants to get back to his feet.
Flame tries to hold on but Scarr postures up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Scarr can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Flame is looking to escape.
Flame is trying to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Excellent takedown into side control there by Flame.
Scarr struggling a bit here.
Flame landing strikes.
Flame is looking to take a break and control but Scarr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Flame misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Flame lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Flame misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Flame trying to control the position but Scarr is working away.
Flame just content to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Flame throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Scarr is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Flame asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Scarr tries to bench press Flame off him but Flame keeps the position.

Flame is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Scarr's shoulder. That is not cool.
Flame trying to control the position but Scarr is working away.
Check out the look on Flame's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Scarr is not content to let Flame control the position.
Scarr stops Flame from passing to mount.
Flame working the head and body with strikes.

Flame controls the position.
Scarr is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Flame's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Scarr trying to control but Flame postures up.
Flame is figuring out what he wants to do next.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jonny Flame hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Flame shoots for a takedown but Scarr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Flame fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Scarr, right into the meat.
Scarr tries for a takedown but Flame circles away easily

and Flame counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Scarr!
Flame raining down hammerfists from mount.
Scarr is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jonny Flame showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Flame shoots in for a takedown but Scarr shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Scarr is looking to clinch but Flame is avoiding it.

Scarr gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Flame must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Flame trying to control but Scarr is working from the bottom.
Scarr utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Flame wants to control from the top but Scarr keeps moving.
Flame won't allow Scarr to sweep him here.
Flame's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Scarr working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Flame.
Flame is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Flame wants to control from the top but Scarr keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jonny Flame hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
