The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith lands an overhand right.
Smith keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Smith scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

It looks like Fatih Emir has been cut.
Emir shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smith as he jumps to the side.
Emir swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Smith. Those never looked like landing.
Smith lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Smith scores with a decent looking hook.
Emir misses the jab.
Emir cracks Smith with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Emir moves to clinch but Smith breaks away
and Emir takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Smith throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Emir stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Emir takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Emir throws a right and a left that both miss.

Smith feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Emir sprawling to the canvas! Emir rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Smith finish him?!
Emir takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Emir looks gassed!
Smith fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Emir to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Emir looks to clinch but Smith throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Emir taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
